Harmony Science Academy a Gulen Charter School

Harmony Science Academy in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico are under the Cosmos Foundation. The Cosmos Foundation ran by Turkish Nationals who are known members of the Gulen Movement have abused many state and federal laws. Cosmos is the largest abuser of H1-B Visas for foreign teachers than the largest school district in America. Scratch your head and wonder why the Gulen Movement is getting away with reverse discrimination? Texas money crosses over state lines to support the other Gulen Managed charter schools, this is WRONG!! Gulen Charter School in Texas submits application for a charter school in Washington DC - Dr. Soner Tarim

Sharif Salim M.ed is listed on page 393 of the charter application as a board member of the proposed Harmony School of Excellence in Washington DC.

Salim has taught Ancient History, in the D.C. Public School System, and served as Acting Principal of Theodore Roosevelt High School from 1987 through 1992. He also founded the Muslim Community School in 1980, which is located in Potomac, Maryland. The school offers Pre-K through grade twelve, and at its peak, student enrollment reached 400.

MORE ON SHARIF SALIM M. ed (African American Muslim Convert) at the end of this post.
Soner Tarim, Superintendant of Gulen “inspired” Harmony Charter Schools in Texas, has boldly tried to file an application for a charter school in Washington, DC.  Here is the application:
The proposed Gulen operated charter school in DC will be called Harmony School of Excellence.  Are we to assume that Texas money will cross state lines into Washington DC?  Gulenist supporter Sharif Salim M.Ed on page 393 appears as a “Board member of this proposed school” (see below for more on Salim)
Page 11, lists “Bridgespan” as giving the “seed money” to open this school. Which you can bet is another newly created Turkish investment group much like the TruGlobe that purchased the defaulted property in Atlanta where Fulton Science Academy (lost their charter mandate and now is a private school) is located. Not a bad deal, The school and their Grace Institute, defaulted on a $19 million loan to Wells Fargo, then TruGlobe purchased the property back on the courthouse steps auction for a mere $3 million. Pocketing the $16 million
Perhaps the DC Unified school district should read up on Dr. Soner Tarim (Marine Biologist) and learn of his admitted ties to Gulen and how Gulen inspires him. Tarim was outed in the New York Times for anti-American activities of preferential treatment and favoritism of Turkish businesses and contracts. Their preferential hiring of h1-b Visa Teachers (Male from Turkic countries) over Americans has cost jobs and further economic woes for Texas Taxpayers.
The Gulen Movement is embedded with American politics, and in Washington DC their mother lobbying group is Rumi Forum and Faruk Taban with the Turkic American Council which sponsors dinners and business forums with Congress members with Turkic countries.
*Sharif Salim M.ed
Sharif is a black muslim convert who grew up on the mean streets of Washington DC and has mentored many troubled black youth especially in the world of boxing.
More about Sarif Salim here:
More on Sharif Salim or Saarif Salim, it appears while he was principal at yet another school in DC, one of the teachers was charged with assault on a student.  Salim shortly left the school on a “leave” it is unclear if this is the same “SALIM” or if he left voluntarily.
The Gulenists have once again latched on to a minority and no doubt sniffed out the federal and state money available for developing schools in impoverished areas with high African American students.
Interview with Sharif Salim as the manager of Boxer Seth Mitchell:
“Salim, a D.C. resident who was a school principal and now opens charter schools, touts boxing as an avenue to prosperity, or at the least a platform to build character and heart. He sees enough technique and ample character and heart in Mitchell, enough of all of that to gain revenge on Banks.”

Harmony Science Academy gets "Needs Improvement" status

Lubbock County school districts met standard according to 2013 ratings

Harmony Science Academy rated 'needs improvement'

Posted: August 8, 2013 - 3:00pm | Updated: August 9, 2013 - 12:35am

“Other Lubbock County schools that scored below target are Idalou Elementary School, Slaton Junior High School and Harmony Science Academy — a charter school.”

This puts a lie to the Gulen Movement’s claim that their schools are all high performing.  The only thing that is high performing is the Gulen’s propaganda, Public Relations and false advertising scams.

Gulen Charter Schools Self Dealings with only Turkish Operated Businesses need to bid

Over $25 million in American Tax money was awarded to "Turkish owned" businesses that service the Harmony Science Academies.

And still no justice for JR Johnson Construction who with their sub contractors worked on the Harmony School of Political Science and Communication to only be stiffed by the Gulen Movement.

Why is the Gulen Movement not wanting to pay American businesses for services?  Simple- the money they pay to the Turkish operated businesses gets laundered back to the movement.

Besides illegally hiring Gulen male teachers overseas via fraudulent h1-b Visas the Gulencs are destroying the American Economy and jobs with refusal to support American operated businesses and employees.

Fethullah Gulen, A WOLF IN SHEEP’S CLOTHING!

    Our fellow Americans,
We as Turkish-Americans are here to warn you about this very dangerous man! This man is an extremist Islamist with intentions of spreading Sharia Law all over the world. We know! And we are here to warn you and expose him!

When living in Turkey, Gulen was a staunch enemy of secularism. He pushed for an authoritarian Islamic state. In fact, a Wikileaks wire reveals how Istanbul Chief Rabbi Ishak Haleva tried to warn USA of this man’s activities, saying he is a “radical Islamist” whose moderate message cloaks a more sinister and radical agenda.

After Gulen fled Turkey in 1998, upon being charged with seeking to overthrow the secular Turkish government to replace it with an Islamic Republic, he was able to secure a visa to move to USA.

How did he receive his residency status while he was ‘wanted’ by the –then- Turkish Government? This is still a mystery. Now, this man owns and operates charter schools in USA –through various foundations- despite the fact his Madrasas were outlawed in countries like Russia and Uzbekistan. His schools were under investigation in the Netherlands. Plus, the origin of his immense wealth, which he used to open and operate these schools all over the world, is unclear. Who is behind him?

On July 13, Turkish Americans and anyone who believes in secular democracy and human rights are getting together to protest him, in front of his home in Pennsylvania! The protest will be peaceful and our message is clear, the USA should not shelter or host a dangerous man like this while we are fighting extremists all over the world. War on terror should start at home!

    PROGRAM:
1- USA and Turkish National Anthems
2- A moment of silence for our Turkish friends who died fighting these extremists in Turkey and for anyone who died on war on terror. And for the heroes who fought for the secular Turkish Republic, Ataturk and his comrades in arms.
    3-10th year anthem
4-Reading and disbursement of the statement
    5-Information on Fetullah Gulen
    6-Finish and goodbyes

Address: 1865 Mount Eaton Road iin Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania, 18353
Protests date and time: July 13, 2013 at 1:00 p.m.

Bring your signs and slogans! We are going to show the world this snake!

If you taught at one of these Charter Schools and were fired we would like you to speak.

Harmony Science Academy "Mediocre rankings for Turkish Gulen Harmony Charter Schools"

“Mediocre Rankings for Turkish Gulen Harmony Charter Schools”
    by Donna Garner
    4.25.13
[After the newspaper article below, I have posted the individual rankings for the Turkish Gulen Harmony Charter Schools in the Houston area. From what I can see, the Harmony Charters are definitely a “mixed bag” with a number of them scoring below average. This stands in stark contrast to the marketing campaign that Harmony conducts in which they try to make the public think they are far superior charter schools.
I believe that because so many of the Harmony teachers are fresh from Turkey that they do not have the English proficiency skills that are needed to be excellent teachers. I am also very concerned about the type of Muslim indoctrination which may be occurring in the Harmony Charters. – Donna Garner]

“Harmony Charter Schools Receive Mixed Grades in Latest Rankings”

    April 25, 2013

    by: Laura Isensee
More than 9,000 students in Greater Houston attend a Harmony Public School.
It’s known as a flagship charter school network in Texas.
It focuses on math, science and technology and recently won nearly $30 million dollars from the federal government.
But not all Harmony charter schools got the same grade in the latest rankings from Children at Risk.
Bob Sanborn is president and CEO of the advocacy group.
“When you look at those top Harmony schools, the data is very clear. Those are pretty good schools. But when you look at the whole thing, you get sort of a mixed bag.”
Children at Risk gave A’s and B’s to half of the Harmony schools. The other half got a C or lower. Three Harmony campuses got an F.
“We’re not really focusing on the reputation. Reputation has built itself in recent years.”
That’s Ozgur Ozer, the chief academic officer at Harmony Public Schools.
“Our aim is progress, continuous progress, so whenever we see we are not doing as well, we just want to focus on there and to improve our programs.”
To improve, Ozer says Harmony will analyze school data and share best practices among all its campuses.

“Behind the Doors of Turkish Gulen Charter Schools”
    by Donna Garner
    3.2.13
Mary Addi is a former Gulen charter school teacher who tells in a YouTube what goes on behind the doors of the Gulen Schools. Mrs. Addi is married to a Muslim man who is from Turkey himself, but she and her husband have traveled around the country telling the public of their great concerns about the Gulen charter schools.
In Texas, there are 38 Gulen charters; they are called the Harmony Schools and are run by the Cosmos Foundation. Different states have different names for these Turkish schools, but they are all tied together with H1-B temporary visa male teachers and administrators from Turkey who constantly switch schools.
This YouTube of Mary Addi telling her story is gripping; and because of her involvement in Loudoun County, Virginia, she was able to help influence the Loudoun County School Board on Feb. 26, 2013, to vote 8 to 1 against opening the Loudon Math and IT Gulen Charter School.
Please read the details of the Loudoun Co. School Board meeting:
Mary Addi has set up her own website – http://www.charterschoolwatchdog.com/ -- where people can find out more about these Turkish Gulen schools:
We here in Texas are pushing our Texas Legislature to establish safeguards for charter schools, and these safeguards need to be established in every state:
Here are two sets of charter school safeguards that have been proposed by various experts.
    1. That a financial audit conducted under generally accepted accounting practices by an independent, reputable auditor be required - and publicly available - from any charter school operator applying for bond guarantees or other financial incentives;
    2. That the name, address, and citizenship of all board members and key administrators applying for said guarantee(s) or other financial incentives issued by the state be recorded and made available to the public;
    3. That the funds in the underlying bonds or other financial incentives to privately owned, publicly financed schools are to be used solely for schools within Texas;
    4. Severe criminal penalties for fraudulent activities involving bond guarantees or other financial incentives issued by states - such as a Class 2 Felony for criminal or securities fraud violations.
    ===================
Safeguards proposed in the 82nd Legislative Session in Texas but that the Texas Legislature did not pass:
    1. Proof of U. S. citizenship for all charter school operator board members and top five highest-paid administrators. (Public ISD trustees must be U. S. citizens.)
    2. Names, titles, and biographies posted online for all charter operator board members and top five highest-paid administrators.
    3. Check registers posted online
